A bittersweet week for Mills
Martin Jones praised Jonathon Mills following London Welsh's low-scoring 10-3 defeat at Exeter on Saturday - but will now lose him for three weeks.
An Aled Thomas penalty was all Welsh had to show for their efforts, but they at least emerged from the National One clash with a bonus point.
And director of coaching Jones was proud of his troops - Mills in particular.
He said: "I don't normally like to pick out players individuals, but Jonathan Mills was heroic in defence and showed great work-rate in the contact area."
However, Mills will now serve a three-week ban after being found guilty by an RFU panel on Monday of stamping against Leeds Carnegie two weeks ago.
It was initially five weeks, but he has already served a two-week club ban.
Jones, meanwhile, was looking on the positive side of a tough encounter at Exeter.
He added: "It was probably one point gained than three points lost.
"I think they were looking for a five-pointer today, but there wasn't five points difference between those teams."
