West London Jets have take-off

West London Jets are the newest addition to the area's rugby league community.

They were formed earlier this year as a result of Harlequins Rugby League's work in Hounslow, as well as Richmond and Kingston, and took part in their first tournament this week. And although they failed to win a game against more experienced sides, they did themselves proud, and Jess Lock scored their first-ever try.

Jets coach Aran Quinn said: "The girls have been working really hard and showed real potential for the future."

Meanwhile, Feltham Community School beat newcomers Sunbury Manor 32-18 in the Hounslow and Ealing Schools Competition.
