CYCLING Holdsworth holds Hounslow's hopes

Paul Holdsworth is Hounslow & District Wheelers' big hope in their Ron Brown Memorial 100-Mile Time Trial next Sunday.

The event has attracted 60 entrants from 39 clubs, with Holdsworth chalking up Hounslow's best qualifying time of 3:41.39 hours.

But he will have to pull something special out of the bag to beat Nik Bowdler (3:43.50) and last year's winner Steve Golla (3:48.42).

The first man off starts at 7.10am, with the course taking in the roads around Farnham and Alton.
