Old Is beaten by the civil servants

Old Isleworthians & Heston certainly had their cards stamped... er,marked, by Commonwealth Offices Balham CC on Saturday.

Only Rob McLaren did anything to shout about with the bat, hitting five boundaries on his way to 35, while Jason Harcourt found the boundary four times while posting 20.

Sunny Luthra and Trevor Hector both went for ducks as Old is struggled to 121-9 in the AJ Sports Surrey League Division One clash. Hector made up for his failure with the bat to take 2-28, while Tristan O'Neil took 2-48, as Old Is tried in vain to preserve their total.

But Commonwealth were too strong and eased to a five-wicket victory.
