BARNSLEY have made Uwe Rosler their number one target for the vacant manager's post at Oakwell, according to The Star.
Reports in South Yorkshire suggest the Championship strugglers have set their sights on the Bees boss to replace axed Keith Hill at the helm, after Saturday's defeat to Blackburn left them bottom of the table.
Gary Megson and Sean O'Driscoll are both believed to have thrown their hat into the ring, but Rosler is top of their wish list.
The German has transformed Brentford into serious promotion contenders, with the west Londoners heading into 2013 just two points off top spot in League One, having lost just three times in 24 games so far.
