Ben Hamer
Brentford boss Andy Scott admitted he is keeping his eyes on other keepers in case his favoured deal to land Ben Hamer on a season-long loan falls through.
It was rumoured last week that the Bees were close to striking a deal with Reading and Hamer, who was on loan at Griffin Park for much of last season.
But Scott said: "I have talked to Reading again this week, but the situation has not changed (that Hamer needs to sign a new deal with the Royals first).
"he fact Reading were relegated hasn't changed matters, they're still looking to send Ben out on loan.
"So although Ben liked it here, if a bigger club comes in he might decide to go there, so I'm looking at other keepers too."
