AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley has been handed a boost after X-rays showed Paul McCallum's foot injury isn't as bad as first feared.
The Chronicle revealed on Friday that the on-loan West Ham striker left Kingsmeadow on crutches after limping out of the draw with leaders Port Vale.
McCallum, who has scored four goals for the Dons, was sent for a scan to assess the full extent of the damage.
However, the club have confirmed he has suffered no serious damage and should be back in training by the end of the week.
