Cherie Blair opens Isleworth Crown Court extension

A MAJOR £23 million extension to Isleworth Crown Court to deal with the expected increase in crime from an expanded Heathrow - was officially opened this week.
The remodelled and refurbished six court room extension was opened on Tuesday by Courts Minister, Bridget Prentice MP, with Cherie Blair also making her way down to the Ridgeway Road facility for the unveiling.
With a quarter of the court's work coming from Revenue and Customs, the new courtroom capacity will hopefully enable the system to deal with the expected increased demand from a larger Heathrow.
Bridget Prentice said: "This refurbished and extended court shows our commitment to responding to local requirements and providing a first class justice system with state-of-the-art facilities."
