Thousands of pupils will pick up their GCSE results today - and www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk has got it covered.

Heston Community School

Deputy Head Michael O'Hagan said:

"We are proud that our GCSE students have achieved 60+% 5 A*-C grades for the third successive year with strong performance when English and Maths are taken into account.

"Across the majority of the GCSE subjects there has been a sharp rise in the number of students gaining A* and A grade.

Headteacher Anjali Sakhardande said:

"The school is very pleased with our results which have risen to 56 per cent 5+ A*-C. Additionally we are especially pleased to have achieved our target of 31 per cent of 5+ A*-C including English and Maths).Several students have achieved outstanding results with A and A* Grades."

Gunnersbury School

Sarah Kennedy said:

"We are delighted with our results this year. We have achieved outstanding results with 22 per cent achieving grades A* and A. In French out of 1761 entries four Gunnersbury Students were amongst the top 10 highest achievers in the country. Three of our Year 11 students sat A Levels early and achieved two A Grades and on Grade B. 82 per cent of our boys achieved five A*-C and 100 per cent gained at least one qualification."

St Mark's RC School

Headteacher Paul Enright said:

"A fantastic set of results - 91.8 per cent of pupils achieved five or more A*-C passes, the best figure in the history of the school and the first time we have crossed the 90 per cent threshold. The overall GCSE pass rate was 100 per cent. Andrew Abdelmalek achieved eleven A* Grades.

Chiswick Community School

"We are pleased with the improved performance generally and particularly with the seven students who gained 8 A*/A grades or more.  Vocational courses also scored highly with the new Performaing Arts course achieving 100 per cent passes."

Isleworth and Syon School

Headteacher Euan Ferguson said: "These GCSE results equal our best ever results and surpass our targets for the year group. I am especially pleased that our boys continue to show how well they can perform. If we were able to compare these results with boys only results in other schools, then they would be seen as even more impressive.
"A staggering 53 students gained 10 or more high grade passes and seventeen students amassed 13 or more high passes.
"Top performers this year were Sandeep Unwith (8.5A*, 3.5A); Matthew Ryde (9.5A*, 2.5A, 1B); Mustafa Franka (6.5A*, 5.5A, 1B) and Ahmed Abdulla (5.5A*, 7.5A, 1B).
"Of special note are the achievements of triplets, Farooq, Omar and Hasan Sabri who between them each gained 12 or 13 high passes which included 33 A*/A grades.
"As ever, the staff and students are to be congratulated on these results which reflect significant effort over the past two years of study."

Cranford Community School

Headteacher Kevin Prunty said:          
"I am absolutely delighted that Cranford Community College students have done so well academically yet again this year and have maintained the successive improvements of recent years. 
"Over 66 per cent 5+A*-C is the second highest level ever achieved and we are very proud of the students involved. 

Some notable successes are:
Gagndeep Chaggar who achieved an outstanding 10A* and 3 A Grades and Harveen Lehal who gained 9A*, 4A and 1B grade. 47 per cent of students gained at least 10 A*-C passes.  Omair Nazimi scored in the Top 10 in the country in Applied Business."
