Missing woman returns to UK

Satpal Jandu

A council worker has been found safe and well more than a week after disappearing in mysterious circumstances.

Satpal Jandu was reported missing last Tuesday after leaving her office beside Smallberry Green Primary School in Turnpike Way, Isleworth, at lunchtime.

The 30-year-old, of Hounslow, had just started a new job as an educational administrator.

She left her car keys on her desk and did not tell any of her colleagues where she was going.

Police downgraded their search at the weekend after receiving a message saying she was safe, before finding her unharmed on Tuesday at 6pm.

A police spokesman said she had returned to the country but refused to reveal what had happened or whether she had been reunited with her family.
